Book and Reschedule a Photo Session

  • Submit a completed form on the Contact page to start the booking process. All Contact page inquiries are responded to via email within 24-48 hours, so keep an eye on the email address you provided. From there, I will provide you with session availability and formally make it yours with a signed contract and deposit.

  • A signed contract is required to hold a photo session date/time, along with a $150 non-refundable deposit.

  • I open my calendar and share photo session availability every few months. Since my clients are teens, tweens and families, I totally understand hectic schedules that aren’t always known at the first of the year. If you are targeting a photo session for a specific month, however, I recommend reaching-out via the Contact page to join the waitlist for that month. Once my availability for that month is set, I will reach out and give you first-choice of the dates.

  • Yes, always open to it! I love to travel. Submit a completed form on the Contact page and include your location and details for customized pricing. All Contact page inquiries are responded to via email within 24-48 hours, so keep an eye on the email address you provided.

  • I understand that life is unpredictable, which is why I make every effort to get a photo session rescheduled if the original date and time is no longer a fit for you and your family. Should you need to cancel the photo session, without rescheduling, then the non-refundable deposit is kept by Good Day Photography to cover the loss of work and the time-spend to date.

  • I will be in close contact to discuss options in the days leading up to your photo session if rain is in the forecast. Rain does not automatically need to equate to a session reschedule or cancellation, and often times the final go/no go decision will be the day-of the session.

  • No, that is not necessary - I’m a big fan of keeping things simple. If one representative from the Friend group completes and submits the form on the Contact page that will be sufficient to get our booking conversations started.

  • Yes absolutely! The photo session price includes 5 friends, so there will be an additional cost per friend over 5. Include the information on the Contact page form, and I will follow back-up with a customized price for you.

Price and Payment Information

  • My photo session types, prices and package details are outlined on the Session Pricing + Details page. If you have additional questions or need customized pricing, please submit a form on the Contact page.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to hold a photo session date. The remaining balance is due by the photo session.

About our Introductions

  • The Introductory step happens as soon as a photo session is booked and is important for so many reasons. It happens pre-planning because all those personality-trait tidbits you share (current favorite things, interests, hobbies, style, even music) is used as creative fuel to plan a photo session centered around you.

Our Introductions are a casual guided conversation that can take place a few different ways: in-person (think local coffee shop), as a virtual meeting (think sweats at a time around your hectic schedule), as a phone call (think two-birds one stone as you wait in a parking lot for a pick-up) or simply an email questionnaire if life is just beyond chaotic.

And silver-lining moment… If first ‘hellos’ make you nervous then they will be out of the way long before your big day.

  • It’s all about who you are right now. I’d love to get to know your habits, likes or dislikes, quirks, hobbies, style - really anything that makes you uniquely you at this moment in time. Because even though the days feel long, the years go by oh-so-quick and next year you’ll likely be different in some way. That is why I’m so excited to help document and celebrate you right now.

  • Short and simple — it can be! Knowing that life gets hectic, Good Day Photography offers a few different ways to get acquainted and you choose how it happens. Introductions are most commonly done virtually in our comfy clothes at a time convenient for your kids + family, but it can also be a quick coffee house meet-up (I never turn down coffee), as a phone call or via an email questionnaire if your schedule is just too chaotic. My goal is not to add another task to your busy life, but to begin to form a relationship to help capture you authentically, celebrate you properly, to give you an easy and comfortable go-to for any support leading up to your session, and in the end to make the day a fun experience for you.

  • Yes, it is. Here a photo session is more than a transaction and this step is one way that makes Good Day Photography different. Our photo session is about documenting you, celebrating you, and creating an experience tailored to you. And to do that, well, we need to get to know each other. For those that see the value in the time, well it makes my heart happy.

  • The recommended number of outfits for each session type is listed on the Session Pricing + Details page. This is a guide given our allotted photo session time. If you desire to be photographed in more outfits than listed, just let me now and we’ll discuss how to make it happen. We may need to plan for a longer session which would come with some additional cost.

  • No it does not, and is actually recommended. Layering outfits is a great way to quickly capture different looks while efficiently using our photo session time. I highly encourage you to look for ways to do this during our session, and am always happy to help and share ideas.

Outfit Planning and Styling

  • Location plays such a key role in photos. At Good Day Photography we use it to help storytelling and create photos authentic to you. That is why locations are thoughtfully considered and recommended with care, after getting to know you. I also consider location versatility, light placement at the time of our session and crowd potential.

  • Heck yes! The photos after all are all about you, so I would love to collaborate.

Photo Editing and Digital Images

  • Yes, that’s an easy post-production correction. All of my images are hand-edited, which means that I can make image modifications as needed. During our initial Introductions, we will briefly discuss editing and your comfort level should things like acne, scratches or bruising happen right before a photo session. Because kids…it’ll happen.

  • 2-4 weeks from the photo session date, depending on the time of the year.

  • The digital image files will be provided via an online gallery for you to download, print and share.

  • You betcha! While all the photos in your gallery will be color, a select number of photos will additionally be provided in black and white. The selected images are based on the artist discretion of the photographer.

  • Absolutely! And I really, really, really hope that you do! My photo session packages include the Digital Images, along with a Digital Print Release and a list of Print Lab recommendations.

  • With Teens and Tweens being at the core of my target audience, I would expect nothing less. Of course you can! I do ask, however, that no image alternations are made meaning no filter additions or cropping. And if you would be so kind as to tag me in your post, there is nothing better than a social high-five.
